Setting Up Your Email Account with Apple Mail
(v.4.3)
This guide should help in setting up Apple Mail to work with your email account.

- From the Mail menu, select Preferences.

- Go to the Accounts tab, and then click the plus sign(+) at the bottom of the Accounts box.

- In the Add Account window, enter your name, email address and email password.
- Click Continue.

- In the Incoming Mail Server screen, select POP from the Account Type list, and complete your information as follows:
- Description
- A name of your account. This can be anything you like.
- Incoming mail server
- mail.yourdomain.com, or mail.yourdomain.co.uk, etc.
- User Name
- Your email address.
- Password
- Your email account password.
- Leave SSL unchecked. Click Continue.
- In the Outgoing Mail Server screen complete your information as follows:
- Description
- Name for this mail server (optional).
- Outgoing mail server
- mail.yourdomain.com, or mail.yourdomain.co.uk, etc.
- Check the Use only this server box.
- Check the Use Authentication box, and then enter your User Name and Email Address.
Click Continue.
- Leave SSL unchecked. Click Continue.

- You are presented with an Account Summary. Check all the details are correct, and SSL is off. You have the option to take the account online at this point.
Click Create to save the Account details
Click Continue.
